Important Information About the Adoptable Pet

Looking for a pet to adopt? Use this search page to view
the animals available for adoption at the Marion County Animal Center. These
animals are available for an adoption fee of $40, which includes the
spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, county license and microchip. Please note
that animals in the adoption wings do not have time limits. They will remain
available for adoption as long as they are healthy and friendly, or until
they find homes. Animal Services will not "hold" or take requests from
citizens or rescue groups for animals that are on our adoptable pages.
Animals are available for adoption to the general public for 30 days before
they become available for rescue groups to adopt.

Please understand that an adoption is not a
"sale." Marion County Animal Services reserves the right to refuse
any adoption based on the best interest of the animal or the
community.
