Many of these final decisions or actions start with groups of citizens volunteering their time on one of Marion County’s citizen advisory boards. Each board is created by state statute, county ordinance or resolution of the Board of County Commissioners and tasked with reviewing and researching a topic, hearing appeals or making recommendations.
