4-H Farm

4-H Farm

Welcome to the Marion County 4-H farm, a place where youth residing in urban areas can participate in rural-based projects.

Located in Southeast Marion County on the corner of Maricamp and Baseline road, this 45-acre facility was developed for youth who live near or within city limits and lack the means for participating in traditional 4-H projects like gardening or raising a large animal like a steer or hog.

The farm currently has both a hog and steer barn, indoor classroom, covered picnic/pavilion area, and irrigated gardening section.

The 4-H Farm is also used for various educational and special events, like Youth Safety Day and an annual Civil War re-enactment. Request for using the farm and/or classroom can be made online or by contacting the Marion County Extension Service at 352-671-8400.
