Home Buyer Short Course

This program is essential for home buyers who wish to avoid stressful, discouraging, time consuming, and costly road blocks. This short course consist of a series classes addressing issues related to purchasing a home. Topics covered:

  • Goal Setting - In terms of the home buying process, this program will help the home buyer sort out the differences between wishes and goals in order to prepare for a realistic outcome.
  • Assembling Your Home Team - Learn how to select your home-buying professionals including realtors, inspectors, lenders, insurance agents.
  • Pre-purchase Preparation - This program breaks down the steps and tasks associated with the home search and selection. The intent is to inform and achieve goals specific to the individual’s home selection.
  • Financing and Closing - Considering closing costs and the duration of the mortgage agreement, it is essential to be an informed consumer. This program addresses concerns specific to the financial part of home buying.

(Cost is $15.00. Fees cover workbook and refreshments.)

 


Storm Preparedness: Controlling What Mother Nature Cannot

This program is for you whether you have experienced violent weather or not. Learn, discuss, and ask questions. You will come away with a better understanding of how much you really can control.

Rights and Responsiblities of Landlords and Renters

The Florida statute addresses the rights and responsibilities of renters and landlords, yet there are situations that are not so straightforward. This class reviews the Florida statue in a group setting, breaking down the language into layman's terms, while also addressing individual questions and concerns.
