(Feb. 17, 2017) – Get to know the local businesses and organizations of south Marion County in a festive atmosphere as the Belleview Public Library and Belleview Chamber of Commerce host the Belleview Community Celebration, Saturday, March 4 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Belleview Public Library.

Children and adults can pet llamas and alpacas, enjoy free snacks, adopt a pet from Marion County Animal Services, learn about bicycle safety, relax in the library’s Gamer’s Edge video game lounge and much more. More than 11 local organizations and groups will provide original performances throughout the day as a part of the Garden Variety Show, including live music, dance, acrobats, baton twirling, martial arts and even cooking demonstrations.

“The addition of entertainment and local performances will really add an exciting and festive aspect to our community celebration that everyone will enjoy,” said Belleview/South Marion Chamber of Commerce Executive Director, Mariah Moody.

Back by popular demand, guests will also enjoy a local rendition of the gameshow “I’ve Got a Secret.” Watch as local celebrity judges try to uncover the interesting secrets of area residents. “This show has been really popular each time we’ve presented it and our secrets this year are extremely exciting,” said Belleview Public Library Supervisor, Lee Schwartz.
