Marion County government offices closed Tuesday, Sept. 12

 

All Marion County government administrative offices and facilities will remain closed on Tuesday, Sept. 12 due to Hurricane Irma. Some departments may have limited services available depending on the storm’s impact.

The closure information detailed below remains accurate.

Marion County government offices closed Friday, Sept. 8 at noon on Friday, Sept. 8, due to preparations for Hurricane Irma.

Important exceptions to note include:

Animal Services will have on-call officers available at 352-753-9111.

KP Hole Park will close at 5 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 8.

All other county parks will be closing at noon on Sunday, Sept. 10, unless weather becomes unsafe to keep facilities open.

The Silver Springs Shores Community and Youth Center pool will be closed on Sunday, Sept. 10.

Solid Waste facilities will maintain regular operating hours through Sunday, Sept. 10 until weather becomes unsafe to keep facilities open and will be closed on Monday, Sept. 11. Operation status for Sept. 12 will be dependent on impacts from Hurricane Irma.
