Marion County: Orange Lake Recycling Center and Wright Road Recycling Center closed

Two Marion County recycling centers are closed due to storm-related issues. The Orange Lake Recycling Center (18290 NW 53rd Court Road, Orange Lake) is closed due to low-hanging powerlines and the Wright Road recycling center (11190 NW 90th Ave., Reddick) is closed due to flooding. Residents can find the next closest recycling centers to their locations by visiting www.MarionCountyFL.org/solidwaste.

All other recycling centers are open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday and will resume normal hours of operation on Wednesday.

Residents are strongly encouraged to wait until conditions are safer before transporting yard debris or trash. Residents living on county-maintained roads can move the debris to the sides of the road (not in the road), and the county will pick it up. Please know that due to the widespread storm impact across the county, this may take some time. The yard debris should be kept separate from household trash, construction debris and appliances.

For more information, contact Marion County Administration at 352-438-2300.
