Help Desk

The Help Desk Operations area of responsibility
is to answer calls, create, track and update work orders for County
approved hardware and software. On average, the Help Desk responds
to over 4,000 calls and processes 12,000 work orders annually. Some
of these work orders are resolved immediately using remote control
technologies. Another major function of the Help Desk is to monitor all the servers, phone systems, time clocks, and network infrastructure for outages using the "What's-Up Gold" central monitoring system. Recently the Help Desk has also assumed the role of maintaining user accounts, security group memberships and file security.
