Utilities Irrigation Restrictions

WATER NEWS

On May 19, 2009, the Board of County Commissioners approved an inter-local agreement with the St. Johns River Water Management District and the Southwest Florida Water Management District that updated the County's Water Conservation and Landscape Irrigation Ordinance (Ord. 08-09). The new update allows all portions of Marion County to follow the St. Johns River Water Management District watering restrictions as follows.

Irrigation is allowed only before 10 a.m. or after 4 p.m.

Exceptions this ordinance have been approved for the Villages of Marion and the City of Dunnellon.
