If not, the Marion County Citizens Academy is for you!

 About the Citizens Academy

What:

A comprehensive 10-week course that covers the challenges and issues facing Marion County, encourages participation in the government process and familiarizes participants with the operations and services of Marion County government (not including constitutional officers). Presenters serve for the Marion County Board of County Commissioners as experts in their fields.

When:

Annually from March-May on Thursday mornings from 9 a.m.-noon.

Who:

Residents and business owners in Marion County may participate. All participants must be at least 18 years old and complete a registration form. Participants must attend eight of the 10 sessions to graduate.

Cost:

This exciting program is offered at no cost.
