EMERGENCY REPAIRS TO MOBILE HOMES
Marion County Community Services is the lead department for the CDBG Emergency Mobile Home Repair Program, that’s designed to aid low income, owner-occupied mobile homeowners with emergency housing problems that pose a serious and immediate threat to the health, safety or welfare of the household.
The program is only intended for full-time, Marion County residents living on homesteaded properties.
Emergency repairs, only, may be provided to income eligible households for health and safety issues such as an inoperable water pump or plumbing leak, failing septic, roof leak, or any condition deemed potentially hazardous by staff and able to be repaired within the confines of the program. This program is not intended to address housing code issues. It is only intended to avert serious health and safety issues that may result in illness or homelessness.
The maximum amount of assistance that may be provided to an eligible household for the Emergency Mobile home Repair Program is $10,000. Residents may qualify to receive assistance up to a maximum of two times; however, the total combined assistance provided may not exceed $10,000. To qualify for the Emergency Repair Program, the total household income may not exceed 50% of the area median income by family size.
