Marion County To Provide Help For Home Repairs

(This is separate from the mobile home repair program)

“You may be eligible for a zero interest, deferred payment loan to help repair your home,” said Shawna Chancey, Housing & Human Services Manager, Marion County Community Services. The funds come from the Marion County SHIP Rehabilitation Program. Assistance will be provided on a first come, first served basis.

Funds are available for very low income homeowners that meet the eligibility requirements:

• Home must be owner occupied and located outside the city limits

   of Ocala.

• Home must be a site built home; mobile homes do not qualify.

• Must be current on taxes and mortgage.

• Must meet the income guidelines. For example, a family of two

cannot make more than $19,500 gross per year or a family of four cannot          exceed $24,400 gross per year.

• Must agree to loan terms.
